To Jog's raging waters
I could see nothing.
It was just white all over.
The mist had taken over.
The disappointment was huge. We had travelled all the way from Bangalore , specifically for this. This was a cruel joke of nature. I felt let down and frustrated.
Airfare for Rs 599 and less!
But, all was not lost. The crowd assured us that in a few hours, the rough winds would clear the mist. We waited for an hour, during which, there were occasional glimpses of the Jog Falls. Though the mist never cleared to give a full view, it did give us some special moments to shoot good pictures.
We decided to go to the British Bungalow view point which is closer to the waterfall. Magnanimously, the Sharavathi river showed its power as it created the roaring and angelic waterfalls, as it dived into the abyss below. My eyes swept the landscape; the exquisite waterfall cascading down, green trees in the background and light blue sky visible between white clouds. I stood marvelling at the heart stopping spectacle.
