To Jog's raging waters

It was nearing afternoon and so we decided to drive straight to Jog Falls, from Linganamakki Dam. We parked the car at the Mysore Bungalow viewpoint. I could feel my heartbeat racing. I felt like it was my first day in college. Finally, I was going to see the Jog Falls in its splendour. I had seen it as a kid, as an adolescent, and as a young adult. Although it has attracted tourists from all over the world, it had never fascinated me.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

But I had always seen it in summer or winter. Jog Falls is at its best during or just after the monsoons.

I was nervous, and curious as I pulled out my umbrella and camera, and walked towards the viewpoint, where hundreds had already gathered. The roar of the waterfall drowned the excited chatter of the crowd. As I made my way to the view point, I was shocked.
