After a series of flops -- Kurukshetra, Tera Mera Saath Rahen, Ehsaas and Pitaah -- director Mahesh Manjrekar now appears as an actor in Kaante.

Manjrekar dyed his hair grey for the film, since the look of each character plays an important role in Kaante.

Kaante will be singer Lucky Ali's third release after Tanuja Chandra's Sur and Shyam Benegal's Trikaal where he appeared under his given name Maqsood Ali.
