Jananathan is a national award winning director. His Iyarkai was adjudged the best Tamil film by the national award committee year before last. For his second film, Jananathan decided to tackle a social issue that concerns the poor in urban India; donating organs for money and the racket involved behind it.
Though he has added quite commercial elements like dance, fights etc, E is an interesting film.
