Mahesh Bhupathi's 11 commandments

< Back Next >
Bhupathi's success in men's doubles at the majors may have hit a road block after 2002, but his success in mixed doubles continued.

He won the US Open mixed doubles with Ai Sugiyama (top inset) of Japan (beating Americans Donald Johnson and Kimberley Po 6-4, 6-4) and then started a three-slam winning streak.

It started in July 2005, with Bhupathi winning a second Wimbledon title with seasoned campaigner Mary Pierce of France (inset, middle).

The Indo-French combine was too good for the Australian/Ukrainian duo of Paul Hanley and Tatiana Perebiynis, winning the final 6-4, 6-2.

In September that year, the Wimbledon final scoreline was repeated against Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic. But Bhupathi was on this occasion playing with yet another different partner, Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova (inset, bottom).
