Michael Chang (USA) in 1989
Michael Chang is probably the best person in this list who could have won another major in his career.
When the Chinese American triumphed at Roland Garros in 1989 he set a plethora of records. His five-set triumph over Sweden's Stefan Edberg made him, at 17 years and three months, the youngest ever player to win a Grand Slam (he had made his pro debut only a year earlier). He also became the first American in 34 years, since Tony Trabert in 1955, to triumph on the red clay in the French capital.

Chang reached three other major finals (including another one at Paris in 1995), won 34 career titles and played for 14 more years after his French triumph. However, he failed to add to the list.
Paris was his first moment of glory, and also his last!
