"I am 60 now and if I had to do challenging stuff, then I would be slower," the wing commander added.
Sharma did not have to undergo any rigorous training before flying the aircraft since he has flown planes before. He did have to go through a medical test a day before he flew the aircraft and he was deemed fit to fly.
The Super Hornet was piloted by Daniel Hannum from the United States navy while Sharma was the co-pilot. The Hornet from the CFA 22, the Flying Eagles Squadron of the US armed forces, was the only fighter aircraft that was fully loaded with weapons and bombs.
