Biden tops the charts

August 21, 2008
At this stage, it's unclear who Obama will select. Reports late last week indicated that Biden had all but secured his spot on the ticket, but Senator Biden himself refuted claims earlier this week.

It will likely be one of the first four listed, but particular emphasis should be placed on Senator Bayh and Governor Kaine. Their perceived ability to land Obama one of the closely contested swing states, as well as the assurance of culling some moderate male votes from the right, makes them the logical frontrunners.

For Obama, the man who once seemed impregnable and the campaign which once looked indefatigable, the last month has been a sucker punch to the gut.

His steadily climbing lead has nose-dived, and now each and every move he makes falls under heavy, critical scrutiny.

Second-guessed by the media, slammed by Republicans, should Obama want to stake his place in his history, the time is now and this decision of paramount importance. The world is watching, waiting. The last one month has seen 'The Game' change dramatically. Now, Senator Obama finds himself in need of a game changer.
