"It is a 280 metre-long balanced cantilever bridge, which supplements the existing 1932 vintage, single lane, steel bridge," Dadu said.
It has taken 31 long years for a concrete bridge to come up across the Chenab.
The structure has been built by incorporating the latest technology and the best engineering practices, according to the chief engineer.
