No brotherhood lost in Hogenakkal

Right now, there are no signs of any preparations for the controversial project. A couple of hutments have been demolished to set up the power plant, but locals say that no work has started because of the ongoing dispute.
While the two states continue to bicker about their share of land, the locals of Hogenakkal -- both Kannadigas and Tamilians -- remain blissfully unaffected by the political shenanigans which are played out once every five years.
