They got married on August 18. They were married under the Special Marriages Act. After marriage both went to their respective homes. On August 31, Priyanka came home with some 3-4 dresses around 4 pm. She told us that she would live with us from now onwards. She said she can't wear saree or salwar kameez and she liked only jeans, only. She was simple and didn't wear jewellery or apply mehandi.
When she came she told me, "Ma hum log shadi kar liye hai." She was sitting right here where you are sitting. Rizwan was sitting on the bed. I told her, "Achcha hua shadi kar liya. Koi baat nahin." I didn't ask any questions because my son never wanted to marry in first place.
Priyanka was fine and normal. She was not at all nervous or scared. She said she has called her father. He will be coming soon to meet us, she told us. I was quite happy. She had not told her father about the marriage. She didn't bring her cellphone so she used Rizwan's number to invite her father. It was only on August 31 that I came to know that she is a rich man's daughter.
At around 6 pm, Ashok Todi, his younger brother Pradip and Priyanka's uncle Anil Sarogi came to our home. They sat in this room. Rizwan has four uncles. They had also gathered in our home by that time. I wasn't present in that room. We had shifted Priyanka and Rizwan to his uncle's home. She was called back when her father arrived.
