While every Surya Kiran display is enthralling, the most popular is the 'heart in the sky' formation.
The team has a total of 13 pilots, all from the IAF's fighter stream, of whom only 9 fly at any given time.
The team can carry out 30 displays in a year. The regular displays include Air Force Day Celebrations at Palam, and the graduation parades of the Air Force Academy and the National Defence Academy.
