Not everyone wants Bush here

After the rally reached Jantar Mantar, there was a public meeting. A B Bardhan behaved like the headmaster of a high school, making people sit quietly. All leaders of the supporting parties were on stage. Bardhan declared that only two leaders per party would be allowed to speak, that too for just ten minutes.

Stalls around the venue were doing brisk business, considering the temperature was 31.7 degrees centigrade.

The man who got the most applause when he appeared on stage was Harkishen Singh Surjeet, even though he didn't speak. The surprise speaker of the day was Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. Samajwadi Party supporters went bersek with happiness.
