Later in the day, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi called upon President Bush. She was accompanied by Minister of state for External Affairs Anand Sharma and former Indian ambassador to the US, Karan Singh.
US Ambassador to India David Mulford and Indian ambassador to the US, Ronen Sen, were also present.
