The lunch was also attended by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, among others.

Prime Minister Singh lauded President George Bush for the "firm stand" he had taken against the upsurge of protectionist forces in his country and the farsighted approach he had adopted on the issue of outsourcing.

The Bush luncheon had a specially designed Indian menu, featuring everything from Lamb Curry Spinach and Corn Curry, to Tomatoes Stuffed with Cottage Cheese (paneer), Kalonji Gobhi and Alphonso Mangoes with Kulfi. First Lady Laura Bush (left) looked pleased.
