The founder of the dreaded terrorist group, the Lashkar-e-Tayiba, is almost always clad in a salwar kameez and sports henna coloured hair and a Turkish cap.

The Lashkar introduced suicide bombings in Kashmir.

The threads to nearly every major terrorist act in India -- including the attacks on Parliament and the Red Fort -- lead to the Lashkar and the Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The changed global scenario post-9/11 and the attack on the Indian Parliament forced Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf to finally ban the Lashkar on January 12, 2002.

But the ban is only on paper, and the Lashkar, and its founder, continue to flourish.
