Leader of the separatist group, the Khalistan Commando Force, 41-year-old Paramjit is wanted for reviving the Sikh insurgency, murder, conspiracy and smuggling arms.
Believed to be from the Panjwar sector of Punjab, he worked at the Central Cooperative Bank in Sohal and in 1986 joined the KCF, whose commander -- and his cousin -- Labh Singh was a major influence on him.
In the 1990s Paramjit shifted base to Pakistan and is still believed to be raising funds through cross-border heroin trafficking.
His wife and child are believed to live in Germany.
He is also wanted for the murder of former army chief General A S Vaidya and for the country's biggest bank robbery in Ludhiana.
