Addressing soldiers in Rajouri, the President spoke of the need to stoke the 'inner Agni [fire]' in the service of the nation.

"The power of Agni is within you," Kalam said. "When there is a challenge, you destroy injustice, the enemy and evil designs."

He said the three-tier fencing along the LoC, supported by electronic surveillance systems, would make the border impenetrable.
