I have done three decades of service with the Delhi police and this is the first time I was given the task to control and manage traffic on Rajpath. I had to ensure that no unauthorised vehicles came onto Rajpath.
I took up my position around 4 am and was there till 2 in the afternoon when an all clear sign was received from the control room.
Compared to normal traffic duty this was a relatively easy job.
