I am posted in Srinagar, with the 15 Corps from where I was called to Delhi to take part in the parade.

For me it is very special because in 1999 I took part in the same parade leading the all India girl's NCC contingent. Then I joined the army and now look, I am back again. It feels great. My entire family -- my father, mother and sister -- came from Bangalore to see me taking part in the parade. So you know what it means for me and my family.

As told to Josy Joseph
