But Schwarzenegger does not consider himself just an actor or a muscleman. In interviews and books, he has called himself a man who can sell anything. And those who have seen him come up are not surprised by his description. He seems to have sold almost everything under the sun at one point or another.
T-shirts, tank tops, weightlifting belts, gym bags, exercise videos, weights, bricklaying services, bodybuilding for women, magazines, bicycles, motorcycles, Hummers, books, seminars, movies, German food, cigars, restaurants, real estate, malls... the list just goes on.
"I'm good at selling," he had said. "I've always done it my whole life, and I will do it again in this campaign and as governor." His selling skills, Schwarzenegger hopes, will help give a big boost to the slack Californian economy.
