At the Nare Park Ganeshotsava Mandal, Parel, one can see a 23 foot idol under construction. Contractor Sunil Dhumal says the Mandal is erecting a scene based on the Shiv Sena's Mee Mumbaikar theme.

The idol will have a painted background of the Mumbai skyline. Crowded local trains, the Ghatkopar blast, hutments in the city will be depicted in the form of models made out of wood, Plaster of Paris and thermocol.
