How was it working with Nana Patekar?
He is so good; there is so much to learn from him. I'm very close to him. There's more to him than just an actor. He doesn't act for money. Half of his salary goes to charity. He does farming in Pune every weekend. You can actually see him selling vegetables along with other vendors. I'm sure people will love him in Ek -- The Power of One.
What were your parents' reaction when you decided to take up modelling and acting?
They were very upset. They didn't want me to get into either. But I put my foot down. They didn't talk to me for a long time after that. It was very difficult for me, as I am a family person. To live away from them was very difficult. Living in Mumbai alone is tough. I used to give 10 auditions everyday. I would get short-listed but after that, there would be no calls.
I became very upset, depressed and frustrated. I started questioning my decision to shift to Mumbai. I was very comfortable down south and everyone knew me there. So to begin from scratch in Mumbai was very difficult. It was only my confidence that kept me going.
