In this dowdy remake of Hollywood's Sleeping with the Enemy, Manisha Koirala is on the run from her increasingly obsessive, wife-beating pati [Nana Patekar].

After she bumps into the genuinely Mr Nice Guy [Jackie Shroff], she comes out of her trembling shell and develops a confident personality.

A runaway success, Agnisakshi is best remembered for Koirala's doe-eyed vulnerability, Patekar's convincing menace and the chartbuster ditty, Kitna mushkil hai.
