Cinematic masterpieces from a master-storyteller

Nilakkaalam (2000)

Andru un arukil, the novel on which the film was made, revolves entirely around children.

The film was directed by the Gandhi Krishna himself (the director of Ananda Thandavam.

Spotlighting the friendship between three children Pulli, Amar and Nila, one of whom is the daughter of an actress (played by Roja), it pin-points the lives of real children, as against chocolaty stuff that usually makes the rounds.

The film won a National Award as well. Nilakkaalam makes everyone wait eagerly for Ananda Thandavam.
