The two guys in the film are Nithin Satya and Daniel Balajee. Daniel Balajee had done only negative roles till now. I felt he suited my character. I liked the combination. The girls are Lakshmi Rai and Manjari. Lakshmi had worked with Jeeva's Dhaam Dhoom, so I know her. Manjari is the ASA heroine. They suggested her name.

Then there's the fact that she her Hindi debut was a success as well...

Definitely. I knew she was doing Jaane Tu... Now, she is accepted in Mumbai. So, that will help my film too. She is doing a couple of more Tamil films now.

Why did you decide to have an item song by Rakhi Sawant in the film?

Item songs are necessary for all films these days. The director wanted to get her as she is a good dancer and quite well known. She was quite okay about it too when we approached her.

So you think it was because of Jeeva's name that she agreed to do the film?

No, she didn't know who Jeeva was. The producers know her, and I approached her through them. I went and met her.
