'Akshay wanted a photoshoot of every stunt that he did'
The day the film went on the floors, Pramod changed the name from Rajiv Bhatia to Akshay Kumar.
After he started shooting for films, Akshay stopped meeting me. But we would be in touch. He would call me every night to say what happened that day. He wanted a photoshoot of every stunt that he did.
He met (filmmaker) Raj Sippy on the sets of Deedar, and was signed on for Saughand. Raj Sippy said that he wanted to release the film first as he wanted to launch Akshay. That's how Saughand became his first film even though he had signed Deedar first.
