'I shoot only after school hours'

How do your teachers and friends react to you?

They pamper me a lot. They love to watch my show but feel bad when Anandi cries. They call me nak-chadi chuhiya (Anandi's petname in the show) and beendni (Rajasthani bride).

What do you do when you are not shooting?

I bring my books on the sets, and study. I do my homework. I also play between shots with Avinash. I go to school in the morning and then shoot for seven-eight hours. We wrap up by 9pm.

How do you balance acting and studies? Is it tough working for a daily telly show, where episodes have to be filmed everyday?

It is not tough. I had small roles before so I did not have to bunk classes. Now since my character is important in this show, I shoot only after school hours. If I go for outdoor shoots, I miss my classes. But that happens rarely -- it generally happens only on weekends.

Does the show affect your studies?

No. I score above 80 percent and I am very good at mugging up. So even if I miss my classes, I learn fast.

Do you miss playing and being a regular kid?

No. Acting is my hobby so I enjoy it. I love dancing. I started learning dance at the age of five. But I've stopped that now because I don't have time.

Are you friends with your co-star Avinash Mukherjee?

Yes. We gel very well.
