'I lived in Paranthawali Gali in Chandni Chowk'

How did you feel going back to your roots in Delhi's Chandni Chowk while shooting for the film?

It was absolutely great. I loved the smell of parathas in the air. They have 72 different types of parathas, all fully loaded and I tried most of them. Yes, I do miss them.

I lived in Paranthawali Gali in Chandni Chowk. During the film's shooting, I loved the interactions with the people I grew up with. I felt at home. It was a great reminder of my roots and a great way to remember my childhood. It brought back so many memories.

It was so nice for me to shoot in front of my old neighbours and all the lovely people of Chandni Chowk, who are still as warm and hospitable as they were when I left them a few years ago.

How difficult was it to shoot the film in the crowded streets of Chandni Chowk?

It was a real challenge. The streets are so narrow and crowded. But we managed very well. People were so excited and supportive.

Your 87-year old grandmother still lives at your ancestral home there.

My grandmother has a home there, but she lives in Mumbai now. In the film, my father is played beautifully by Mithun Chakraborty. He has the same values as my grandmother.
