'I grabbed Taxi No 9211 because it was totally different from what I did in Anjathe'

Why did you choose to do the Tamil remake of Taxi No 9211?

I had seen Taxi No. 9211 when I was struggling to be an actor. It may sound cliched if I say I was impressed with the film. Then, I came to know the film was being remade in Tamil, and to my surprise, the role came to me.

I grabbed the offer because it was totally different from what I did in Anjathe. I was the son of a police constable in Anjathe but here in this film, I am a suave, rich guy; a total contrast to what I was in my first film.

Gowtham Iyengar is not an iota like Kriba. He is a lover of fast cars and rich life.
