101 Dalmatians, 1996

What happens when a litter of spotted puppies catch the fancy of a fur-obsessed designer devil? For starters, there are abundant moments of awww and adventure, followed by an engaging rescue by their Dalmatian Mummy and Daddy.

Originally created as an animation for Walt Disney in 1961, Dodie Smith's children's story was later adapted into a live-action flick featuring Glenn Close as the vile Cruella De Vil, a character played so outrageously and accurately by the Fatal Attraction whacko, it's hard to imagine anyone else in her shoes or wig.
