'I'm busy giving interviews, so my teacher asked me not to come to school for a few days'

Azhar's father sells wood for a living, to people, who wanted to repair their homes in the slums. Even though he is in hospital at present, an income of about Rs 200 trickles in every month.

Azhar is the naughtiest boy in his class. He used to be the class monitor but was removed from the post, thanks to his mischief. But Azhar is intelligent -- he can read some English and speak the language too.

But Azhar has not attended school in the last few days. "I'm busy giving interviews, so my teacher asked me not to come to school for a few days," he explains. But he's had enough of interviews his new-found star status, he adds.
