Married to Sanjay Dutt's sister Namrata, Bunty and Sanjubaba were very, very close.

Bunty -- who could have become one of Bollywood's greatest romantic stars had he made the right choices after his ssensational debut Love Story -- supported Sanju through all those nightmare years, making countless trips to jail, where Sanjay was lodged after he was arrested, and court.

These days, the two men aren't as close as they used to be. Sanju's alienation from his sisters, especially the very sensitive Namrata, seems to have affected their relationship.

Sanju always had some fairweather friends, but in Bunty, he had someone who had stood by him through those terrible times. Surely, that counts for something.
