'I haven't told my mother yet'

People usually place ads in matrimonial columns and websites. What you're starting is very new...

It feels good. Earlier, girls were in such a bad state that they would not even get to see their husbands before marriage. Things are better now, as a woman gets to choose her guy.

Have you got your mother's consent?

I haven't told them anything yet. I'm sure when they see the promos, I will be able to convince them. It will be difficult initially but after all, it's my life and I have every right to choose a guy for myself. I think they will agree.

What if your prospective bridegroom used the show for publicity only?

That's why we will hold auditions. My maayke wala NDTV Imagine will hold the auditions. I will also be there. I want to see all the men and test drive them. I have a few things in mind about the guy I want to marry.

Such as?

He should be confident and talented. He need not have six-pack abs but not a huge tummy either. I am looking for a companion who is warm, affectionate, someone who can dance a little bit, who respects women for who they and above all, someone who is punctual.
