After feminine sounding titles like Lakshmee, Thulasi and perhaps Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule, Chintakayala Ravi sounds very masculine one.
Yes. Some other titles were suggested. I felt that Chintakayala Ravi (the name of the character I play in the film) has a nice comic feel to it. So, we thought why not name the movie after the character? Some were worried whether a hero's film should be named so. I felt we should give it a shot. The response to the title has been good, and the fans and the audience have received it well.
Yogesh, a relative newcomer is the director. Why him? How is he as a director?
We tried to work together about two years back. We had worked on a script but it didn't materialise into a film. Yogesh is a sincere person. My brother was in touch with him and we felt that we should give him a break. He has been in the industry for a few years. He was good at his job. Since it is not a complicated film there was no confusion.
