You've done some really good roles in Tamil. Do you feel Tamil has been accepting you more than Malayalam?
It's an unfair comparison. I've done more than 30 films in Malayalam and about half a dozen films in Tamil. I have got some really good roles in Malayalam, like in Vargam or Vasthavam besides many other films, for instance.
You look younger and in really good shape...
(Smiles) Frankly, I've got into this look for some of my projects, but it suited perfect for my latest film Lollipop directed by Shafi (of Chocolate fame) as well.
Franco, my character in Lollipop is a peculiar Fort Kochi lad. He runs a garage, is slightly anglicised in nature and looks different from a typical Malayali boy.
What is your role in Lollipop like?
Lollipop is all about the amazing affection shared by a brother and sister. They are absolutely possessive about each other. Unlike what they had decided, they fall in love with people who are mutually acceptable. Roma is doing the role of my sister, Jennifer.
