Julia Roberts was born in Smyrna, Georgia, on October 28, 1967 to parents who ran an acting workshop.
She made her screen debut at 21, then received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress a mere year later with her role in Steel Magnolias. She received a Best Actress nomination for Pretty Woman -- a movie that put her on the map.
Apart from her talent as an actress, Roberts has often made headlines with her personal life. Like in 1993, for instance, when she married singer Lyle Lovett.
She is now happily married to cameraman Danny Moder, with whom she has three children. If you haven't seen much of this talented actress, we strongly recommend Notting Hill, Erin Brockovich and, of course, Pretty Woman.
Interestingly, there were rumours of a sequel to Pretty Woman doing the rounds earlier this week. Julia has, however, reportedly nixed the idea.
