Geographically Speaking was a travel show, sponsored by Bristol-Myers, that stayed on air until December 1, 1946.
Without sponsorship, we'd live in a world with no Seinfeld, Friends, Sex and The City or Desperate Housewives. All we'd have for entertainment would be good old state television.
