Another movie with veteran Singeetham Srinivasa Rao in 1989 saw Kamal in dual roles.
Apoorva Sagodharagal, the story of twins separated at birth, might have been done to death before, but here one of the twins was a dwarf.
Kamal went through enormous pain and perseverance for this role, having to act with his knees bent. It was an emotional performance, coupled with a believable portrayal of a slightly crazy twin, using novel methods to kill his father’s murderers.
