When Sreenivasan, who wrote and starred in the Malayalam super-hit Kadha Parayumbol, showcased his movie to his childhood friend, not in his wildest dreams could he have expected it to be favoured by the superstar Rajnikanth himself.
The story was simple enough, starring Sreenivasan, Meena and Mammootty. A leading movie star visits the village of a down-and-out barber but what's not known generally is that the two were once childhood friends. Once the secret is out, the barber's life undergoes a drastic change.
With Rajnikanth taking on Mammootty's role; Pasupathy slated to play the barber and Meena as his wife, director P Vasu has promised to make the necessary changes in the screenplay that will herald a smash-hit Rajni movie.
It's sure to be a treat for hard-core Rajni fans who love their hero starring in a movie with a plausible plot.
