The shooting has been divided into three schedules and the film will be released during December. The locations for the shooting include Kochi, Kollam and Kundapura, close to Mangalore.
The cinematographer for Kutty Sranku is a woman, which is perhaps another first in Malayalam. Anjali, who cranks the camera, has earlier assisted Santosh Sivan.
The screenplay is written by P F Mathews, who had taken a hiatus from films after his maiden attempt -- Puthran. Mathews has also written the script for some popular serials in Malayalam.
The music director for Kutty Sranku is Isaac Thomas Kottukappilly.
