Hagen, an orphan and decidedly the finest thing young Sonny Corleone ever brought home, is an indispensable and completely trustworthy member of the Family. While he might not exactly be best suited to wartime, he's seen his share of the high stakes, never betrayed any cowardice, and doesn't blink an eye while making offers Hollywood producers ought best not refuse.
