George P Cosmatos' cliched thriller seemed to be built on the reverse-Rambo premise: here Sly wasn't on the run, he was the one chasing. With that gold-nugget of a blockbuster idea in place, a patently weak script was written about Stallone's Lt Marion Cobretti tracking down a serial killer. It's a tacky film but nostalgia favours it and Sly's leather-jacketed '50's reject' cop makes this a fun Sunday afternoon watch -- that you'd obviously deny having seen.
