He makes a good cat. Eighteen years ago, Malhotra starred in Buddhadev Dasgupta's fantastic Bagh Bahadur, as a man who paints tiger stripes on himself and dances for a village.

Things came a full circle for Malhotra with Friday, Anurag Kashyap's docu-drama where he played Mushtak Abdul Razak Memon, more popularly known as Tiger -- the main accused in the Mumbai Blasts of 1993. It is a performance that sends chills down the spine, blurring the line between screen and reality. It is a challenging role, and Malhotra does overwhelmingly well.
