Kireedam was the Tamil remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam film by the same name, which earned playback singer M G Sreekumar the coveted National Award.

Upcoming music composer G V Prakash Kumar enthralled listeners with his delectable music in the Tamil version of Kireedam. The composer offered a smart package of instrumental preludes, mood creating percussion, impressive rhythmic patterns, pleasing tunes and sparkling rendition by singers like Jayachandran, Vijay Jesudas, Karthik and Sonu Nigam.
