The year 2008 has been Surya's year. He had just one release but the film, Vaaranam Aaiyiram, has been his best performance till date. Surya has always saved his best performances for director Gautham Menon.

Though in his 30s, Surya played a teenager in this Gautham Menon venture, and managed to do it rather convincingly. His six pack abs were a good watch as well!
Surya was very good as the teenager as well as a father. Amazing performance from this highly underrated actor.
