Pankaj Kapur

Ever since Vishal Bhardwaj resurrected his career with Maqbool back in 2003, we've been watching a lot from India's finest living actor.

Kapur had fun with Dus, was great in Sehar, and continued to collaborate with Vishal on films like The Blue Umbrella and his AIDS short, Blood Brothers. But Bhardwaj hasn't made a film since 2006's Omkara, and the ever-picky Kapur only showed up in Raj Kumar Santoshi's Halla Bol this January. We'd definitely like to see this national treasure on screen more often.

When to see him next: Kapur stars in Dharm director Bhavna Talwar's Avasthi, as a 50-year-old struggling to come to grips with the staggering pace of Mumbai city. The film releases in February, before which Kapur might hit American screens with Good Sharma, an ensemble Indian-American project.
