'We have already started shooting the sequel to Homam called Marana Homam'

You are coming back to Telugu films after the Madhyanam Hatya controversy. How does it feel to be back?

It took me so many years to face the women of Andhra Pradesh. They reacted so strongly and I am sure they would have now forgiven and forgotten (Laughs). It was safe to keep myself away for this period of time.

How do you view the controversies?

Well, actually I don't really know. The day I get to know I would really stop it.

Could you talk about your association with Ram Gopal Varma?

If you want me to talk about Ram Gopal Varma, I can only talk about Ram Gopal Varma and it will take years to do so and years for you to listen.

What are your future projects?

We have already started shooting the sequel to Homam which is called Marana Homam. It's got Jagapathi Babu in the lead. We are trying to shoot Marana Homam in Karachi, Pakistan. We are trying to get permission to shoot there for 13 days. I am going to take some of the cast from Pakistan too.

So is the film going to be on a wider canvas?

Definitely, it's going to be a much, much wider canvas. In Homam we are discussing problems and topics in one particular state called Andhra Pradesh. In Marana Homam it will be related to the country.

If you don't get the chance to shoot in Pakistan, would you shoot it elsewhere?

Well, I'll try and if it doesn't happen, I'll shoot somewhere else. I'll still call it Pakistan and cheat it and shoot it somewhere in India. But we are almost through with the permission to shoot in Pakistan though we are yet to get the letter officially.
