'Homam is about an undercover cop'

This is a film with two heroes (Jagapathi Babu and you) and two heroines (Mamta Mohandas and Madhurima). Do their stories run parallel to each other? Do you play a character with grey shades?

They are inter-related. It's a perspective kind of question. I may be a good person to some and not to others.

What is the film about essentially? Is it about a 'militant'-like character going by the promos shown on the day of the audio release?

No it's not about a 'militant'-like character. Frankly, it's about a story of an undercover cop -- that is revealed right in the beginning and it's about his journey.

How did you chance upon this subject?

Well, it would be nice to say I have been inspired by many Hollywood films.

Did you script it yourself?

Yes.

Was not acting and directing tough?

Not really. As an actor you are subjective, and as a director you will be objective. They are two different things.

Could you strike the balance?

Yes. But I think you should ask me this question after you see the film.
