Sampada was shown as Anurag Basu's friend from London, who always stood by him.

Prerna, Anurag's ex-wife, convinces him to marry Sampada. After her marriage to Anurag, she feels he is more concerned about his ex-wife Prerna than her. She gets insecure and blames Prerna for it.

Later, she kills Mr Bajaj, and frames Anurag for the crime.

Finally, Prerna and Anurag create a situation where Sampada publicly confesses her crime.

Sampada was shown as a simple, caring girl who turns into a shrewd character because of her husband's closeness to Prerna.
